Urgent Care
Is My Podiatry Problem Urgent?
Podiatrists are key to the successful management of foot and lower limb problems, to help prevent hospital admission. Therefore, the priority is the management of high-risk foot conditions, or those with urgent need, to help avoid complications such as ulceration and infection. We are NOT currently treating routine patients.
You are deemed high-risk/urgent, if you have any of the following:
- Diabetic foot ulcer
- Severe pain
- Signs of foot infection: Redness/swelling/heat/green, cloudy or smelly discharge/continuing or increasing pain
- Any condition (such as ingrown toenail), which if left untreated, will cause skin breakdown/infection/amputation.
However, if you, or anyone in your household have symptoms of Covid-19, you will not be able to attend our Clinic. If the problem is an emergency, and you are unable to contact us, please check your local Health Centre or Accident and Emergency.
