WHAT IS THE NATURE OF YOUR BUSINESS SERVICE?

Almawi Limited The Holistic Clinic, currently provides Podiatric Services which include: Nail Surgery; Wound Care; General Foot Maintenance; Diabetic Annual Reviews; and Diabetes Education. Products are also sold to treat ailments as needed. As well, advice/information can be obtained from our Blog, for maintenance of, and issues affecting the lower limbs. Seniors, and persons with diabetes, are specially catered for.

HOW CAN THIS BUSINESS SERVICE BE BENEFICIAL TO INTERESTED PERSONS OR COMPANIES?

Podiatry is a medical specialty that focuses on: the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and management of diseases; defects, and injuries of the foot, ankle and lower limbs. Therefore, patients across all ages are served. However, the Podiatrist population in the country is small, so it is a service that is in demand.

WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WOULD YOU LIKE THE READERS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

· I am the Clinical Director/Podiatrist at the Clinic, and hold a BSc. 1st Class (Hons) in Podiatry from Teesside

University (UK), and a BSc. (Hons) in Business Management from Anglia Ruskin University (UK).

· Obtained my Post Graduate Dip. Diabetes earlier this year, and I’m completing my MSc. Diabetes.

· Was the writer of a weekly column, Foot Health with Leana, for the Trinidad Express newspaper, from 2010-2020.

· A Sessional Podiatrist with the Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) from 2018, I serve 3 Clinics.

· Trained by Special Olympics International, I am the Clinical Director Fit Feet, Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago since 2017. Additionally, I was the Healthy Athletes Coordinator, and a Board Member for 2 years.

· A member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (UK); along with the Health & Care Professions Council (UK).

· A Volunteer, and Lifetime member of the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago.

· Have presented at Seminars/Conferences over the years, along with facilitating outreach exercises at companies island wide, on request.

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL NICHE?

My qualifications; experience gained from my private practice; together with working in the public health sector. Further, I keep up-to-date through attendance at international and other conferences, in conjunction with pursuing Continuing Professional Development Courses.
